FTIP Unpad and the Department of Agriculture and Food Security of Central Bangka Regency Collaborate on the Development of Local Food Products

The Faculty of Agricultural Industrial Technology, Padjadjaran University collaborates with the Department of Agriculture and Food Security of Central Bangka Regency regarding the Development of Local Food Products. Collaboration was realized through the signing of a Cooperation Agreement which was held in the Plenary Room of the FTIP Unpad Dean, Jatinangor, Wednesday (8/11/2023).

The Cooperation Agreement was signed directly by the Dean of FTIP Unpad Dr. Ir. Sarifah Nurjanah M.App.Sc and Head of the Central Bangka Regency Agriculture and Food Security Service, Dr. Dian Akbarini, S.Sc., M.Si.

The event was attended by a number of leaders of the Central Bangka Regency Agriculture and Food Security Service. Meanwhile, from Unpad, Deputy Dean I for Learning, Student Affairs and Research, Robi Andoyo, STP., M.Sc., Ph.D. and Head of the Center for Agricultural Technology Development Studies Dr.rer.nat.Fetriyuna S.TP.M.Si.

In his speech, the Dean said that this collaboration was not the first with Central Bangka Regency, previously there had also been collaboration related to the development of TAKa Potatoes and KLHS.

“Thank you for your presence and trust in establishing further collaboration with FTIP Unpad,” said the Dean.

The Dean continued, with the signing of this PKS it is hoped that it will facilitate the collaboration that will be implemented between FTIP Unpad and the Central Bangka Regency Agriculture and Food Security Service.

Meanwhile, Dian Akbarini said, as one of the best universities in Indonesia, especially the Faculty of Agricultural Industrial Technology, Unpad, has many experts and research results related to food product processing.

“We chose FTIP because there are many experts here and the research results are mostly related to local food processing,” he said.

Dian further said that there is still a lot of potential local food resources in Central Bangka that have not been explored, therefore, to start exploring them, studies from competent experts are needed so that the results will benefit the community and can be implemented easily.

“We hope that this collaboration with FTIP Unpad can realize our hopes and those of the people of Central Bangka,” he concluded.
